Today i wore a selection of my charity shop finds from monday, vintage patterned silk night dress - £2.99 British Heart Foundation, and what my mother calls an old lady bed jacket which someone probably died in which i think is hand knitted, was only £2 and it is the softest thing ever!

I apologise for the lack of smiles - my photographer wasn't very good!

The dress is gorgeous though, adorned with little perfume bottles and lipsticks ect!

Shame i couldn't smile a bit more though!

Wouldn't you love nails like this? and to have the time and money to get them!

Designer polish collaborations are big news at the moment. But the hotbed for nail art still appears to be London, where manicurist extraordinaire Sophy Robson hand-painted Giles Deacon's trademark cartoon eyes onto multicolored sherbet lacquers at the designer's show, before exporting her Brit wit to Paris for some butterfly-print tattoo nail transfers at Loewe.

Doesn't it bug you when you get so in to your work you just don't want to stop? This happened today when Morrisons called up (other supermarkets are available) and explained that they really needed me or else the cake shop will fall apart, oh dear. And my car insurance is due the end of the month so i kind of need the money, so i decided to take the leap and help someone in need. But in return i had to stop this piece, which i was so engrossed in i was actually upset to walk away...

Well i was impressed anyway!

I just found some more photos of more water splashes from the brusho inks, I'm quite bored of seeing these photos now but at the time i thought they looked beautiful!

But moving away from the paint splodges, new earrings! Well just using up some bits an bobs Ive had from other projects, but i haven't done any earrings for a little while, so i thought i'd do these. 

To be honest i feel a little bogged down with the jewellery fiddling, a have a list that i cant never seem to cross anything off of it, and the jewellery projects will not disappear! maybe i should put the jewellery to bed for a little while whist getting some clothes done, ah I'm so indecisive, i never know what to do! i need an assistant, or a robot.

Apologise for the photo being the wrong way round! but it was an awsome piece, i am a terrible researcher though, as i didnt take down any names :( so ill just have to guess!

I am guessing this was a real swan encased in resin and marble dust, macarbre but beautiful at the same time.

Ah and another inspiration - remember the spirograph work? I found 3d spiro's!

It took all day but it is now finally completed! A1 spectrum spirograph - done.

Hard at work finishing this all day! now i am off to make some jewellerys :)

Another Monday

Another monday, and a time to start fresh from a very hectic weekend! thursday was going really good, i managed this amazing piece -

Until my friend Emily did this - 

So we were down A&E for ages :(

But we did get filmed for Bizarre Er! Which will be on BBC 3 in January - so keep your eyes peeled!

After that event, we had a lovely meal at the Mandarin Buffet in Northampton, where they serve all the food out of a big boat, sounds bizarre but it looked beautiful!

Friday was a trip to London to buy fabrics! Some liberty prints, jerseys, printed cottons, will post up soon with my ideas for it!

We also saw Daisy Lowe in American Apparel in Portobello with her little dog - there was our  claim to fame for the day!

So very tired after getting back at about 11 that night, work the next day then a night on the tiles was in order with the bestie, home in at 5am, up for train at 7am for the Knit and Stitch.

Train from Northampton to Euston, walk from Euston to Kings Cross, train from Kings Cross to Ally Pally Station, then a bus up the hill to Alexandra Palace, but it was worth all the travelling, for the bargain wool and gorgeous fat quarters i got! Again will post with ideas shortly.

So tonight im taking quite a slow one, although i am very excited about starting on all this fabric im just still so tired, so blogging, ironing the bed for me!

Oh and this is the progress on my a1 sheet of spirographing that i managed today - 

Still got quite a way to go!

Style File 101

Yes still a rather unproductive day, gluing and sticking information mainly. And no i still haven't finished the tops or dresses - disappointment, well the dresses are in the wash, just need ironing but i have 1 and a half tops still to decorate. I really need to get organised and get cracking or ill be making the winter collection after winter :/

On a better note, i was putting my pyjamas on tonight and realised my pyjama top was a good look and decided to hang it in the wardrobe for 'out of house use' rather than the 'home wear only' drawer!

Definitely channelling the Dolce&Gabbana Spring Summer 2009!

Earlier night tonight - will finish garments tomorrow! Or punishment, of some kind.

I am such a bad blogger, i never blog! so i am going to try harder to blog every day!

Starting today.

My day was pretty unsuccessful.

Rushed into uni - no time for shower. Didn't do alot of work -

Then i wasted time taking pictures of water droplets on a table

But they do look magical!

But back to the unsuccessful day, i really wanted to finish some dresses and tops i am making -

All i need to do is sew the pearls on and its taken me over 3 weeks!?

And all i had to do was stitch the flowers on! im so slow! i have all the promo shots for the clothes but no clothes to sell as i am far to slow :(

 i will defiantly get them done for tomorrow, if it kills me!
