So Grace Face Boutique was once again in attendance at the
Milton Keynes Handmade an Vintage fair at the weekend, it was the third time we
have been invited to the fair, and we had the best time yet!
We get to set up late on a Friday night so we were all ready
to go bright and early on Saturday morning (after our Costa coffee and a
toastie!) We usually get chance to look around the stalls quickly before it
opens but we got talking to some fellow traders and before we knew it, the fair
was open.
Saturday flew by for us, the fair was extremely busy, we
hardly got time to eat let alone go and have a wander around the other stalls.
We sold loads of goodies and we had to call home to get someone to go and pick
up some dresses for us as they were selling so fast. There was also loads of
interest and positive feedback, we nearly ran out of business cards too.
Sunday was in contrast a much quieter day for us, which gave
us some time to go around all the other lovely stalls, although I failed to
take any pictures L These events are
always tiring but well worth doing, and we love the social side – taking to the
traders, getting to meet our customers and discuss custom orders is always
nice, but the packing away isn’t! But we managed to pack away quite
strategically so I didn’t have too much to sort out when I got home last night.
I also usually look forward to a day or two off after the weekend fairs, but as
I have an order for 7 bridesmaids dresses due for the end of the month – I had
better get cracking!
We will be back at the Milton Keynes Vintage & Handmade fair, situated
outside John Lewis in Middleton Hall inside Milton Keynes Shopping centre on
the 1st and 2nd of June, we hope to see you there!
